Fund Raising...NYC Style...

The above picture was taken at a recent fundraiser in New York City. You might notice the uniform the young man on the left is wearing. It is the uniform of the Israel Defense Forces. Why was he at the fundraiser you ask???
Well, because 1500 of New York's young Jewish professionals all gathered at the Metropolitan Pavilion to raise $600k for the IDF! They are calling themselves the FRIENDS of the ISRAEL DEFENSE FORCE...
The money raised goes to the troops for R&R facilities and to widows and orphans of the IDF.

Strangely enough, there is no akin group that does anything even remotely similar for the US military...who, by the way are engaged in a war just now...and are the very ones who keep the freedom so that gilded cage little shits from overly privileged Manhattan backgrounds get to raise money for Israeli troops, who, last time I looked, weren't exactly protecting the US from anyone...
Maybe I'd understand if my name was Katz or Weingarten...Naw! Not even then would I understand this...
