Hot??? OH YEAH!!!

Washington, DC isn't usually a place one would think of as cool in the summer...funny tho, those times when Congress is in session it can get even hotter...I guess it is Chucky Schumer or Fat Teddy Kennedy or any number of those bastards (of either party) running their mouths endlessly that does it.
But right now Congess is out of session...and all that heat that smashed the west and central plains is now here...and it is waaaay hot now...( 103 in the shade.)

So when I returned from the fields of labor today I headed right for my little pool...I expected to be refreshed...but that diabolical Mother Nature had made the sun too hot to allow the pool water to be comfortable...unless of course, one were seeking a hot bath, which is what I received, pool temp was nearly ninety. Not willing to concede defeat just yet, I pulled myself from the pool and cooled myself with the garden hose (redundant since I have sprinklers built in the ground, but handy none-the-less).
Yeah! The garden hose...just like it was done fifty years ago...and it still works...(the hose is kept out of the sun, so it wasn't heated up)...so despite my fancy address and pricey pool, I shared something with the poor kids of South East DC today...sometimes simplicity is the better course of action...
